I did not grow up on Disney. In fact, I’d never even been to a single Disneyland until I was 26 years old! In the past few years all that has changed. We’ve visited every single Disney Park across the globe! We’ve also visited Aulani, traveled through the Mediterranean on the Disney Magic Cruiseliner, stayed at 14 different Disney hotels at different parks, and spent a lot of time dining at Walt Disney World restaurants.

When Gabriel started working for Disney back in 2009 we immediately jumped at the opportunity to go on a trip to Walt Disney World! We were totally unaware of the scope of this magnificent compound, and were totally overwhelmed on our first trip. We came home and decided that there is such a thing as too much of a good thing.

Obviously that didn’t last long. As time went on and we reflected on our experience we came to appreciate the attention to detail, the immersive nature of the experience, the incredible scope into what has been created to bring life and light and magic to so many. We’ve gone back every year ever since. Even though Gabriel doesn’t work for Disney anymore, we still love to take our children and celebrate the magic at this wonderful place. This year marks our 9th consecutive visit to Walt Disney World.

Everything is considered when it comes to Walt Disney World. Full transportation is available throughout the complex from airport to boat to bus to monorail. From the moment you step off the plane you are whisked away by a charter bus from the airport to your resort. They get your baggage from the airport carousel and deliver it to your room. You can even sign up for text alerts and get notified as soon as your room is ready. Wearing your magic bands gives you access to photopass opportunities including ride photos and character meet and greets. This same magic band holds all your park entrance tickets, fast passes, your hotel room key, and you can even use it to pay for meals and merchandise with or without the Disney Dining Plan. 

Walt Disney World is comprised of 6 parks, and each park has it’s own theming to match. Animal Kingdom is a huge safari. Epcot contains features about the Earth – land, sea, future, and a world showcase featuring 11 different countries. Hollywood Studios is themed to the movies with rides and characters from all your favorite stories, and Magic Kingdom is the original and classic park with all your favorite rides and magic.

► For Kids: Walt Disney World is the most visited theme park in the world, and it’s not very hard to see why. This place has so much magic it’s bursting at the seams. There is so much to do and see and eat and buy and play on, every child will be in heaven.
