Sanaa Disney Review: The Restaurant

Rarely does Animal Kingdom get it wrong, and the vibrant and dynamic Sanaa is no exception.

At Sanaa, the colorful restaurant incorporates all the spirited colors that represent Africa:

  • Red for the ancestry of the African noble blood
  • Black for the people
  • Green for the grasslands that span as far as the eye can see.

The colors continue through the ceiling weaving a jungle tapestry resembling an acacia tree with lights that are shaped like gourds.

Eating with Giraffes & Other Animals at Sanaa

During your meal at Sanaa with kids you will be privy to observing the animals grazing outside your window as if you aren’t anything to be bothered about and nothing could be more natural.

The children loved interrupting their meal to run up to the window and watch in awe as the animals meandered about. Occasionally they would make eye contact and become giddy with wonderment.

The assimilation of blended environments is accomplished seamlessly.

Sanaa Disney Review: The Menu

Our dinner here was spent with friends, self proclaimed picky eaters, and they enjoyed every last bite that was offered to them.

We gorged ourselves on the Indian Bread Service, offered with a wide array of eclectic relish including chutney and and hummus.

From lamb sewers to dishes we aren’t sure how to pronounce, we savored our experience here and enjoyed the time spent with friends, wildlife and delicious food.

Recent Changes

*Sanaa has changed their menu since we visited, so we are not entirely sure what we ordered. I remember a chicken sandwich, the bread service, and platters piled high with meat.

I do know unequivocally that we loved all of it. In fact, we have immensely enjoyed (almost) every single restaurant we’ve dined at within the boundaries of Animal Kingdom and Animal Kingdom Lodge.
