Because we didn't have enough dessert...

We love Epcot; in fact, Epcot and Disney’s Animal Kingdom are our family’s favorite parks at Disney World. That might be a little sacrilegious for parents of toddlers to admit, but we love how immersive each park is! These parks are dedicated entirely to the guest experience and to the seclusion of the outside world, more so than any other park. You encounter something new to attract and invite your senses along every step in Epcot. The park is vast, beautiful and overwhelming.

When our twins were just itty bitty we knew our annual trip to Walt Disney World would be enjoyed at a slower pace. This is the first year we cashed in on the Disney Dining Plan and we’ve never looked back. Epcot is known for it’s incredible dining options, and Chefs de France in one of the finest.

A little rat is inside making your food

A year earlier we visited and dined in the the Germany Pavilion at the Biergarten where we were greeted by German transplants with thick accents. Just like in the world showcase of Germany, at Chefs de France we were embraced by young Frenchmen who I could hardly understand despite studying French in college for 3 years, watching French films, and dreaming of visiting there someday.

I enjoyed the Crepes Florentine, a large crepe filled with chicken, spinach, mushrooms and bechamel sauce.

Crepes, the french way

Gabriel dined on Plat de cote de boeuf au cabernet avec pates, beef short ribs braised in Cabernet with pasta, pearl onions and mushrooms.

Julia Child would have licked the plate

For desert we each chose one of the Chef’s signature dessert specialties to share, Crème brûlée and chocolate profiteroles.

Yes, I’ll have some profiteroles!
For Kids: At Chefs de France, every child gets to meet the chef! He comes around to your table, accompanied by your server, on a platter with cheese and grapes. Of course, anyone can cook Ratatouille! He’s darling and engaging, and is a pint sized fun surprise.

We were also treated to a special anniversary treat! Be sure to tell them when you book your reservations (they’ll ask), or they’ll see your special Anniversary pins when they seat you.

Nap-Time Version: Chefs de France is one of the best restaurants in Epcot. Serving french dishes by the one and only Ratatouille.
