This little joint started out as a food truck in 2012 serving the greater Boston area. Now, Chicken & Rice Guys Middle Eastern Hallal Street Food eatery has expanded to include three brick and mortar locations as well as retaining four food trucks. The brick and mortar locations are medium sized with plenty of seating and an open view kitchen.

The menu consists of rice, and chicken, no surprise there, and also includes gyro and tofu. Our favorite was the combination plate served with both chicken and gyro, pita bread and smothered in their signature creamy garlic sauce.

Chicken & Rice Guys hits the spot. The spices on the meat are balanced just right with the tender flavor of the marinade, paired with a seasoned rice that creates harmony with the composition of the meal.  We also tried out some of their hummus, and although we didn’t favor the pita chips, the hummus was excellent.

Great food, friendly service, and quirky t-shirts that read, “The Rice is Right”, “Rice, Rice Baby” and “Poultry in Motion”. Plus, they call their food truck, “The Big Yellow Bird.” This is a place that knows how to make good food, share it in a fun atmosphere, and keep you coming back.

For Kids: The spices aren’t too spicy, and the heat isn’t too hot. This is a great place for kids and the flavors are excellent. Everyone in the family will love Chicken & Rice Guys.

My food journey started late in life, but ever since I stopped refusing to eat anything other than bologna sandwiches, my belly has been a lot happier.
